Spruce swamp in good condition on eastern and southern margins. Open grazed limestone pasture to the west and north separated from peatland by slightly entrenched, muddy, cattle-impacted streams.;Red spruce peatland accessible to cattle on Teter Property, but little trampling noted. Cattle tend to remain in open limestone pasture on the other side of small tributary to Gandy Creek. Trees are stressed from wet growing conditions (stunting) and from cold temperatures (snow skirts, many young heavily branched seedlings below snow pack level). It is possible that this peatland is underlain by greenbrier limestone - a soil profile would be interesting to have. No exotic species noted.
